kitchen summer staples

what’s sizzling in my house

When is comes to summertime in the kitchen, I want to share easy recipes that I love that keep myself and my family fueled and well fed.

My love of cooking began at 10 years old. I remember reading cookbooks around the table while the adults caught up. Sunday’s at my grandmother’s house were a special place to be. I remember our large family gatherings and wanting to be the go-to assistant for my grandmother.

You see, it was natural for them to host 15-30 people on the weekend.

A true Texan Italian brady bunch on my father’s side of the family.
